Coaxial Dual-Driver Design
The FG3 features a coaxial dual dynamic driver configuration that combines a 50mm driver with a 16mm driver in a single-point sound source. This design maintains excellent phase consistency and directional accuracy, improving spatial imaging for competitive gaming. An electronic two-way crossover assigns low and mid frequencies to the larger driver while the smaller driver reproduces high frequencies, extending frequency response and revealing subtle details without sacrificing impact.
Purpose-Built Drivers for Competitive Audio
The 50mm composite diaphragm driver delivers powerful midrange and bass performance while improving vocal clarity, making teammate communication and positional cues easier to distinguish. The 16mm titanium-plated dynamic driver enhances treble detail, helping reproduce footsteps, environmental effects, and subtle directional information with greater precision.
High-Performance Dual-Core DSP
A built-in dual-core DSP processes advanced gaming audio with low latency and fast response. An integrated DAC supports audio up to 24-bit/192kHz while a dedicated headphone amplifier delivers up to 80mW of output power. Together they provide clean, detailed playback across everything from quiet environmental sounds to large cinematic effects.
Virtual 7.1 Surround Sound
A custom virtual 7.1 surround sound algorithm expands traditional stereo into a three-dimensional soundstage that improves environmental awareness and immersion. Explosions, overhead movement, and positional effects are reproduced with enhanced spatial depth. Virtual 7.1 processing is available in Cinema mode and Action (ACT) mode.
Detachable ENC Microphone
The detachable microphone uses an intelligent Environmental Noise Cancellation algorithm to reduce background distractions such as keyboard and mouse noise while focusing on your voice for clearer communication. Hardware-based sidetone monitoring is also supported, allowing real-time voice monitoring with adjustable levels through FIIO Control WEB for more natural communication during gameplay.
Browser-Based Audio Customization
The FG3 supports FIIO Control WEB, allowing audio customization directly through a web browser without downloading software or drivers. Users can create and store custom 10-band EQ profiles, switch between gaming and entertainment presets, and adjust microphone monitoring settings for different listening situations.
Dedicated Gaming and Entertainment Modes
Preset sound profiles are optimized for FPS, MOBA, Action (ACT), Rhythm (MUG), Cinema, and Music playback. Each profile is tuned for its intended application, making it easy to change sound characteristics with a single click. The FPS, MOBA, and MUG presets do not enable virtual 7.1 surround processing.
Cross-Platform Compatibility
The driver-free USB connection enables true plug-and-play operation across a wide range of devices. The headset supports Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11, compatible smartphones, laptops, and automatically switches between UAC 1.0 and UAC 2.0 modes for compatibility with PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch systems.
